I'm about to change the timing chain in my 2009 Cooper S. I recently change the oil and spark plugs in an effort to fix a misfiring issue and was wondering if I would need to replace the oil again. The car has maybe ran a minute with the new oil in it.

As long as you don't get debris in to the engine, you will have to only check and top up the oil as needed.
