The Old Man On Pawn Stars Died Today

Richard Benjamin Harrison (1941-2018)

As one of our loyal fans we wanted to reach out to you and let you know that "The Old Man" Richard B. Harrison, passed away this morning after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and Harrison family are all grieving at this time but we know Mr. H would have wanted us to soldier on and keep things "business as usual" as best we are able.

We have been receiving inquiries from folks wanting to send flowers and the like, but in lieu of flowers we request any who feel inclined to make a donation to the Epilepsy Foundation in his name.

Thank you for supporting our shop and being a part of this journey with us. Your thoughts, prayers and kind words are very much appreciated by the Harrison's and the rest of the Gold & Silver Pawn Family. If you would like to share some of your own favorite moments or thoughts we encourage you to post them to our Facebook page, or blog.

-Rick, Corey, Chum and Gold & Silver Pawn Shop

How ironic, I'm watching their show now as I read this.
RIP, Old Man.
Condolences to the Family.

It always struck me that he acted far older than 77. My parents are that age, and are currently on a 3000 mile Airstream (camper and truck) caravan through most of the Western National parks for 6 weeks.....no worries.

RIP old man.

I still love Pawnstars and was sorry to hear about old man. The show is super hokey and scripted, but I do love hearing about the interesting objects. Of course, I love antiques roadshow as well.

Damn, he was about the only one on that show that didn't annoy me.

Except Rebecca of course

I like the show too and wish the family well with their loss. I too thought he was older than that. I always thought his contribution to the show was fairly minimal. I think he was responsible for starting the business which ne deserves a lot of credit for.

It would probably come out all garbled, like "never in a million years."

That's funny as all get out, but I can relate to it in a sad and pathetic way

She's married to a guy named Romney, who is related to another dude named Romney.
But I doan wanna PARF it all up so I'll stop there.

I never watched it (having TV service would help). Having my own pawn show for 30 years was enough.
