In my typically long-winded and complicated way I was just showing that fasteners with holes already drilled in the heads for locking wire are easily available and relatively cheep.

if that was what you were going for ...............

Actually, I am looking for a hole drill on each end, and no thread. So, look like I will have to drill, if I can/decide to do it.
Thanks Sammy

No thread? Do you mean that you need something like a hitch pin and not a bolt?

Do you have a picture of what you were trying to find?

Yeah something like a clevis pin with hole on both ends. I said bolt because I planned to get a long SS bolt and cut off the threaded end.

What are you trying to do with this thing? Got a picture, or a drawing of the design?

As I and others have mentioned, there is almost certainly a commercially available offering to suit your needs (and save you the time/aggravation of a DIY attempt).
From your revised description it sounds like you need a headless, double-ended clevis pin (AKA hydraulic cylinder pin).

Thanks guys,
I finally got the SS clevis pin and drill some holes with my hand drill. Lot of work. Yes, some of you were right. It doesn't worth the effort.
Thanks again.
