Cool poster

I guess you have to go to buy this poster. I would love a copy, but I can't go this September.

He normally has artist proofs of all his work. Will cost more than the poster but will be signed/numbered. I would imagine this years is still available.

he is a great guy

Ok, I'm going to be a voice of dissent and state I'm not a huge fan of his work. Yeah, he can draw a whole lot better than I. And I know he has done all the Rennsport posters, save #1. But I like that abstract aesthetic (of the RR1 logo/poster) more than his slightly too-realistic (IMO) style.

I'm not either...the images seem a bit too 'cartoonish' for my taste. For automotive art, I prefer Tim Layzell's style a little more.

I liked the poster from 2015 better, but it’s still cool, and I’ve got permission from the tweeze to hang them both in our bedroom, so I’m not going to argue. 🤣

I do like your RR1 poster. I should hunt one of those down.

Does anyone else have one like mine - from the Monterey Historics? I really like it but the one you posted and others like it are cool too, Glen.

I have a poster identical to the one below in perfect condition, signed by both Scooter Patrick and Davey Jordan.
I tried to get Carroll Shelby to sign it too but that cost $$$.
I heard he donated the signature $$ to charity but I passed.

It's rolled up in a cardboard tube and I haven't touched it or looked at it since they signed it 10 years ago. The best thing was, I didn't have to ask them for it. They both signed it and gave it to me as a gift.
Awesome people. We lost Scooter a couple years ago but I believe Davey is still doing fine.

The poster for III is hanging in my office hallway. A great reminder of a very cool event.

I think that's the one I attended...I don't have a poster, so I don't remember which one or the year . A very cool event indeed!

I went to that one with the wife. Didn’t get that poster unfortunately. I did a program signed by the head of Porsche.

Sounds about right....My girl (then) and I were visiting Jax, sailing trip, and we and another buddy went down for one day. Wish I'd had the 911 with me....

I think I saw you there...shorts and a ball cap ?

A fantastic day indeed....

haha yep that was me!

Nov 2-4 2007. Was on a family vacation to Disney and my lovely wife let me sneak out for the day! happened to be another Porsche nut from the Dorkiphus forums staying at Disney at the same time so he drove (we don't ever bother with a car when at Disney).

The sounds and smells were just awesome. And the banking when you see it for the first time in person is breathtaking.

I think the Left Coast has hosted RR for too long. It needs to head back east.

I think you have to be going 90 or so to stay on the banked turns. Another earlier car event @ Charlotte infield (not as steeply banked), it was a MAJOR effort to simply walk up the banked turns, but I did . It was also funny to see it all from the infield (road coarse), with nary a person in the stands.
