Oh, you know this means war! Moles!

Bamboo gone. The new nemesis? Yup, moles. Friggen moles.

My new yard is taking a beating. Mounds everywhere. Raised earth zigzagging my yard indicating an elaborate tunnel system.

My cat killed them all at my old house. Now? She sleeps in the sun next to the mounds. They have some strange alliance.

I just ordered a bunch of traps. I watched hours of videos. I called some crackhead mole trapper.; it looks like he uses the traps I just ordered. I hope the $70 worth of traps gets it done.

This might be fun. Me against a mole.

My kitty brought me about 15 of 'em before, and my yard is rather small.
This year they are back again in a big way.

Last year I had some. Just stood there and watched until the tunnels started moving. Stomped the hell out them. Didnt work. Tried it several times even cutting off his escape route. Tried spiked aerator shoes and a pitch fork. No joy. They are sneaky! Finally loaded the paths up with mouse poison blocks and that worked. Or maybe they just got scared and left the area.

Did you get traps like these? Last year I caught over a dozen with them. This mole was on the small side.

K2 Books 1-5 - Free online stories and novels to download; thrillers, time travel, demons

Not just a good series of a free spy thriller, but each book has an awesome mole hunt in the first few pages. Ex-SAS type people, so it gets a little... technical.

Last year my yard was full of em. Had maybe a dozen. Thought I got them all. Nope.

This year I have one. And he's a swift sucker. Can't seem to catch him. I've set out half a dozen traps around his maze and nothing yet (2 months in and moving them every few days).

Tried sitting there watching for him but he doesn't move. And his tunnel only gets an extension every few weeks. One day he will be mine. One day...

I would LOVE to use the rodenator! But it’s pretty destructive. I’ll put a pin in that option, for the last resort.

I got these traps. Trapline traps. It’s go time! Steve. My local stores didn’t have those. I’d piss on a spark plug if I was told it would work.

Mole problem solved this year. Dexter moved in with me when my neighbor got a bird dog as a second dog......Dexter loves to dig moles out of the yard.

RODENATOR !!! Mine is almost finished! I wanted to test it today or tomorrow, but one of the check valves was bad. I'll see if I can get another one this coming week. It's for gophers though. I've tried traps, drowning, poisons, digging up their burrows. Nothing worked. Now if my home made rodenator works by collapsing the tunnels, at least it might kill some of the bastids and delay things by making them have to dig new tunnels.
