It's Monday, Right?

Since I retired 4 months ago, I've sort of lost track of time. I honestly had to think if today was Sunday or Monday. I should look for an app on my Apple Watch to clue me in. But then again, other than missing a dentist appointment or something, I don't much care.

I've been retired for fourteen years now, and I have to keep track of what day it is. After all Monday is trash day.

Yep - It's Monday. I could tell because by 10am I had already dealt with enough stupid stuff at work that I wanted to just run for the hills and not look back. Enjoy retirement - I'm looking forward to it...

at age 74, I've become very aware of days of the week and time. All those medical appointments written on a calendar. See what you youngsters have to look forward to?

It's what happens when retired. I look at either my phone or computer for the day.
Trash day has become the most important day to remember.
I wear a watch when I leave the house only because I like the way most of them look.
I have various leather watch bands that match different footwear and belts.
I dated a couple of fashion models earlier in life and they left their mark.
They taught me what colors to wear, also. At least I got something out of it.

I'm still working. Every day is Monday.

Just kidding. I'm one of the few people who actually likes their job. I'm fortunate to work where I do...

My work "week" is like that, most weeks...

Give it another few months and you'll realize there's no reason to wear a watch either I did put up a wall calendar to help figure out what month it is.

After the architect next to my office retired and moved out, I called him a month later.

He said that it had been a month of Sundays.

Same problem with me. I had attributed it to the onset of CRS Can't Remember Sh#t).

Still wear a watch though as I feel naked without one. Eyes are beyond reading the day and date without lenses.

I was on vacation last week along with a 1000 PCA friends at Porsche Parade. I heard the phrase "what day is it" many times from different people. So that what day is is syndrome sets in really fast. My wife is retired, and I work at home running my own business. It still feels weird to go mow the yard or wash the car on a Wednesday or something. I sometimes work in the evenings and on the weekends or whenever a customer project needs attention. My time is used for what I want when I want.
My watch is a Casio Toughman. It will display the day or the day of the week so I know what day it is. Tuesdays are important. I try to eat lunch with a certain buddy every Tuesday.

It seems like a weekend doesn't it? Says my wife or I after 8 yrs being retired. Just cannot keep track of the days of the week w/o looking at the newspaper or my watch if I can find it. And yeah those DR appts, love this retired gig hate the getting older part of it.
