I read the book. A truly horrible person. Thanks for sharing the story though. I hope she gets her own Porsche and suspect he's crossed the river Styx by now.

Steve Jobs and Apple are the epitome of the cautionary tale, so it's refreshing to see the side of the man from the perspective of the two women he slammed the door on. The book called Jobs that came out a few years ago gives his final years much more of a soft, charismatic look at the human being behind Apple than he deserved.
Alas, is there or has there ever been another entity with such an impact on the world that is equal parts the product and how it's sold and marketed and the inner drive of the man pulling the levers? The closest thing I've ever come up with is Rockefeller and Standard Oil.

It's really a parf subject but the vast majority of divorces in this country end up with the female claiming the house, the children, and decades of child support understandable, or simply alimony so she can free-load and mooch and have everything given to her without the original male even needing to be present anymore.
In so many cases the woman has 100& over the children and uses that as bait-n-switch or just a means of control over the male. Lucy with the football laughing as he falls again. So often she uses the power of ultimatum to turn the children against the father to reject and deny him from having a seat at the community family table. Her need for total control fractures the family unit and if the male does not remain the breadwinner in absenteeism then the state takes over the roll. You all are so quick to judge Jobs, and it's likely you are correct, but perhaps there is so much more to the mother's personality or the father's history contributing to the mitigating factors. |
