Here's a Prius even a pelican could love
It's usually the ultimate transport appliance, and object of scorn.
Well heres a guy that decided to do something about all of that. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gFbvYeFO8w4 Cheers Richard |

I anticipating that the engine would be in the back seat, not the case.

Amazing that they got it to fit up front like that. Did give up some rear seat leg room tho. Why, because they could. Plus it's funny! I'd have gone with a plain paint job, thinking sleeper. Cheers Richard |

I'm guessing he was bored.
I actually like the Prius but it's not a car I would choose to own.

The answer to "Why"...........
Because Somebody had to do it! Kind of like putting a Chevy V8 in the back of a 911. Build it and they will race!

I watched it and I was bored. Just another variation on a tired theme we've seen thousands of times over the years. Yawn.

Well, whatever, but he certainly improved the little appliance.

The thing that amazes me is that you can drive it around town with no problem.
How many cars that quick can you say that about?

I really think Toyota missed a marketing opportunity by not calling their Le Mans winning car a Prius

I saw a Chevette with a Rat motor stuffed into the front. The guy had tried to do everything as stealth as he could, there was no scoop, the wheels were a bit larger and a lot wider but with dog dishes, the paint was new but not flashy.
If you just saw it sitting in the lot you wouldn't give it a second glance. However, the minute he started it up you knew something was very, very "wrong". Huge 3" exhausts with minimal mufflers made it's presence known from a long ways away, so as it rumbled by you searched out the clues, like the full roll cage, the setback in the driving position, the wide tires hidden by aluminum tubs inside the back seat. One thing that stuck out was the very high quality of the build. The Prius could have been that, but for some reason, the guy just couldn't help himself and covered it with a questionable livery.

I like the second iteration of the Prius a lot, very nicely styled inside and out.
The first one was cool too, but now looks a little dated. The plastic headlights really do cars in and make them look old. The GT300 in the Japanese Super GT series is an interesting Prius. Has the standard Prius set up up front, and a Le Mans relic engine in the back. Last edited by Tervuren; 08-07-2018 at 01:17 PM.. |

If I was forced to drive a Prius, the GT300 would be the only one.

How is the Prius supposed to compete with a GT3?
