Quarter Century
Everyone is talking about how long they have owned their cars.
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/1007510-longest-youve-owned-car.html and I have this guy beat.....well, at least I have him beat in years of ownership. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/999584-20-years-my-911-a.html Yesterday was the 25th Anniversary of when I purchased my car. It was actually the first car I bought by myself. I was stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk CV63. My Dad helped me sell my 73 Nova back home. I was looking through some old pictures and found these. Current with my Mother and Father-In-Law and kids this weekend at a car show. ![]() My son when he was not almost as tall as I am. ![]() Then some of when I bought the car is San Diego ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Happy Anniversary!

Really cool story. I especially love the fact that you have something special that you were able to share and enjoy with your kids. Unfortunately I haven't had that opportunity and it definitely makes me sad.

Growing up, my family went to car shows all over the midwest. Those were our vacations. Some of the big car shows are 4 days long. My favorite show car of my Dad's was a 56 Chevy. I've been fighting the urge to sell my Targa and get one....but I haven't done that yet. My son always yells No!...when I talk about it.
