How Elon Musk Just Added Billions in Market Cap to Tesla Overnight

You forgot to mention that the temporary gains musk created with questionable claims (BS) on August 1st had disappeared by August 17th and dropped another $3 billion after that.

Selective at best.

I showed a graph of the stock price and how it went down 21% in the past 4 weeks.
You know what market cap is, right?

Yes I know Sammy, I was just pointing out the habits of the news cycle.

I did not pick up on that, apologies.

I am still trying to get past the Whiskey.

That guy knows the science of getting the whiskey to your head better and faster than anyone I have seen. I mean like a rush. Break it down. First sniffs the alcohol vapor released by the swirling (forget the toss), then waters if down to 35% the optimum % for absorption by the stomach. On top of that, he swishes the hooch around in his mouth before swallowing. This does 2 things: it prepares the alcohol for the stomach and some of the alcohol is absorbed through the mouth membrane much as an aspirin is absorbed placed under the tongue.

He's getting 3 hits in 1 and it's all headed for the bloodstream the most efficient way possible. Think of the first action. He's huffing the whiskey.

Sorry to digress from Musk, but the whiskey is more interesting.

Agreed. And I like his accent too.

For who that really listened to the interview itself (not whiskey , pot , stocks etc.) I would suggest the Joe Rogan Experience #911 ;

SEC has filed suit against Musk for the "funding secured" tweet.

You can read the complaint here
https://sc.cnbcfm.com/applications/cnbc.com/resources/editorialfiles/2018/09/27/musrkaurg.pdf

I'm not a lawyer, but I think the last bit of the relief the SEC asked for in their complaint is that Musk cannot be an officer of public company:

"Ordering that Defendant be prohibited from acting as an officer or director of any issuer
that has a class of securities registered pursuant to Section 12 of the Exchange Act [15 U.S.C.
§ 78l] or that is required to file reports pursuant to Section 15(d) of the Exchange Act [15 U.S.C.
§ 78o(d)];"

That's actually standard SEC and DOJ practice regarding any officer of a publicly traded company who commits a securities fraud or felony related to his professional position. Even a CEO who knowingly files false proxy will typically be banned from holding a signatory responsibility in a publicly traded company.
