Elon Musk on the Rogan show

Epic interview of Elon Musk, very worth listening to.
Start with them smoking pot and drinking Whiskey, which made the news and TSLA stock go down 6%...

But beyond that, he also talks about 911s and how they handle at the 1h58min mark.

Looks like Elon and Tesla may go "Up in Smoke" ;)

A 6% plunge after one interview- breathtaking.

Total D-bag.

At the 1:58 mark - It's was a common in my racing days to talk about the polar moment of inertia when they really meant mass moment of inertia. I guess they are still talking about that, and still confused.

More obvious than ever that he wants/needs to fail. He's semi-consciously setting himself up to get out of the grinder by whatever means it takes. I honestly feel terrible for him, I've seen this crash and burn on smaller scale and it's grotesque.

I'll never trust any man who wears a Toupee.

Well... Since you claim people are wrong to use Polar moment, rather than mass, please explain to us why.

And yet the 911 and its derivatives have won more races than anything else. . . hmm must be something about that polar moment.

Then again . . .

Probably one of the best interviews I've viewed in years. So sad that the ignorant majority watched this and all they saw was a guy smoking weed. They missed the part about one of the most brilliant living minds explaining in great detail the hierarchy of our neurons. The most important thing Elon said in this interview is that our Limbic system dictates how the cerebrum functions. Our cerebral cortex is simply trying to keep our limbic system happy. When AI is sophisticated enough to understand this, we stand zero chance of survival as a species. There will be a period before our demise when we actually have AI that is good enough for us to manipulate/enhance our abilities, but this euphoric period will not last long as AI will surpass even our most heightened abilities due to the limitations of our physical form. I have more respect for Joe Rogan after watching this as well. I think he really said the right things for Elon to open up and share some pretty amazing thoughts.

Polar moment of inertia. ... Note: The polar moment of inertia must not be confused with the mass moment of inertia, which characterizes an object's angular acceleration due to an applied torque. The polar moment of inertia is a measure of an object's ability to resist torsion as a function of its shape.

Doesn't mean to much to me. I like going sideways :D

That could potentially be a big problem for him. Considering the payloads that SpaceX rockets carry into space, odds are Musk has a pretty high level security clearance as CEO. We'll see if the "Hillary rules" are also in play for billionaires.

I see a public company CEO engaging in the latest in a series of questionable behaviors including the "I'm taking the company private, funding secured" tweet, the reports of heavy use (perhaps abuse) of Ambien, the Thai cave rescue mini-sub debacle (and Musk's public attack on the diver calling him a "pedo"), the whiny NY Times exclusive interview.

Its possible to separate appreciation for Musk's talent, vision and obvious successes from the realities of what the CEO of a company like Tesla should be focused on.

He may be one of the most brilliant living minds, but he also demonstrates a serious lack of common sense. Common sense would be for him to step aside from the daily business of running TSLA, and stick with being a brilliant visionary.

SpaceX launched the X-37, so this is probably an issue. In the past, almost every company I've worked for had a no drug policy and drug testing.

As one person said, since he was talking about Tesla and SpaceX, he could be considered "on the clock" and using drugs on the job.
