High pressure shower head?
I just installed a high pressure mixing valve and I want a great high pressure shower head. Think...firehose! Any suggestions?

Subscribed! I don't understand the newest rage, those "rain forest" shower heads that are like 50 old men with enlarged prostates tinkling on you...
Give me some pressure!

Any water-saving standard showerhead will flow water like crazy, after you take a drill bit to the internal orifice.
Move up in small incriments. It's easy to drill it out too far and get too much water flow. |

Cobwebs. Sometimes I have to start a day after little or no sleep. A good shower invigorates me. My current shower just sprinkles like an old man peeing on a flat rock.

Buy a Moen. They have a rubber oring. Remove it and enjoy. I have done this on both at my house. When the ex left she complained for a year about her place. I just bought her 2 and did the same. It is in the neck and easy to see and remove.

i bought one from waterpick for $15. The best I used, better than the $100 jobbies. several settings and a strong pulsating massage.

Try this... Hotel Showerheads - S-2252-AF . I've used them for years. The last one I bought had a removable water restriction device (which was promptly removed). Home Depot carried them the last time I checked.

Try Oxygenics. We've had one from their "Skin Care" line for years. My wife loves it as it's low flow, but high pressure so it'll get the shampoo out of her hair.

Perhaps a hand-held shower hose with this attachment:

Moses, go get a Hans Grohe (Club Master) and be done with it. I try and push for that model on all my showers designs and builts. If you take the restrictor out, you will loose some skin. I usually leave them on and it is more then good enough. Don't fart around with drilling them. I have not found any other shower hear that will out perform Hans Ghohe. Not cheap, about 100 bucks for that thing. You are in LA somewhere aren't you. You are welcolm to come and check out mine.

I have a high flow showerhead too. It's great. Untill you realize the hot water is gone in five minutes.

When I was working in Puerto Rico, they had the low flow heads. The problem was the sound the shower would make at 4AM. I took a wrench to it and pulled the rubber flow restrictor. Lots of water, no horrible sounds. I'm sure my neighbors appreciated my efforts.

You might ask your plumber to attach a water pressure gauge on the outside of the house on a hose bib.
I seem to remember 80 psi as 'normal'. I forget. though. You may need to adjust or replace your water pressure regulator after the meter. KT
