And people think they crash too much now? I can see the pileup in turn 1 at most restarts.

That Charlotte track is a blast in a 911. At least I had a blast. Going flat out through the gears and getting uo to 5,000 RPM in 5th gear stand on the brakes and do the inner curvy parts is fun. I can not imagine at all doing it in a real race car at 200 MPH side by side. But braking and turns besides left would be great.

Just did that circuit in iRacing... There will be a lot of spin outs between turns 5 & 6!

Raced a very similar layout of this at Charlotte earlier this year in SCCA, will tune in to watch for sure and most likely laugh my butt off

Doesn’t NASCAR already run a few road courses? Watkins Glen, for example and (yes, old name) Sears Point. Have accidentally caught a NASCAR road race on TV and it was a surprise, but a pleasant one. Definitely way more entertaining than oval track.

I'd like to see them fill the stands (although I won't be there..) Attendance has been trending down and they have to do something to get it going again. They will have a great day weather-wise, around 80 and sunny, so that won't be in play. It's still a big deal around here, and I'd hate to see it go away.

NASCAR kind of makes all other motor sport drivers look like dookie. These guys are the best in the business.

I've driven the Roval several times in the 930. It was a blast to drive and the high banks take some getting used to.

I got curious - apparently there was some Euro NASCAR on Nurburgring a while back, but no driver names that I am familiar with (ie, from radio report in the morning once in a blue moon).

Just caught the highlights....somebody forgot how to turn left near the end
! I also noticed how empty the still remaining seats were and how they were painted such that it wasn't as obvious on TV. All the new points bs, stages, etc......not for me, no thanks.."They" got what they wanted....and lost what they had imo...just no appeal anymore. |

I recorded it and will watch a little tonight. I just want to see how bad it was. They need to run the road course at Daytona.
