When Henry Ford drove an early 55, he found that he could not put his clubs in the trunk.
He ordered the trunk be enlarged. So the 57 has a longer trunk (and fins) and rear overhang. Some solved the issue on early cars with a continental kit. But you all know that. |

All '56 T-Birds had a Continental kit.
