Track Day Numbers
Hi All,
Where is the best place to buy magnetic numbers for track days? I have had vinyl individual stickers but they are old and peeling. I think some round or ovals would be nice. There are a gazillion places online selling them but it'd be good to have a referral. Also a size recommendation. Thanks, G |

Nothing like hitting someone else's mag number to ruin your paint.
![]() I use low contact shelf paper at Wal-Mart and cut them out. They won't fly off, they look great, and they're cheap. At the end of the day just peal them off and throw them away. You can create stencils using Word if you like.

I use these guys. I use their static cling numbers, very light plastic or vinyl of some kind. You put them on wet and squeegee the water or windex out from under them. I put a bit of scotch tape on the leading edge to ensure they don't lift and fly off.
GoChecker.com Custom Static Cling Race Number Decals, Vinyl, Magnetic ![]() I agree whole heartedly with Capt Carrera - hitting someone else's detached magnetic number meatball can not only ruin your paint, it can break or spider web fiberglass parts (front bumpers, etc.) if you hit one at speed. I've seen it happen. Some organizations prohibit them, for good reason.

I just print mine from MS-Paint, and tape inside the quarterpanel window.

Thanks for all the advice. The static cling sounds great. What size are those Jeff?

I always used vinyl numbers on my 1/4 windows. Easy on. Easy off.
Don’t static cling numbers fall off in the rain or when they get wet? I always heard the magnetic numbers can meow off. Tape on the leading edge helps as mentioned. |

No, static cling numbers do not fall off in the rain. Once properly applied, they are completely waterproof.
