PBR, I once bought a 12 pack, its the only beer I've ever poured 11-3/4 cans down the drain.

Bud light Platinum is surprisingly not terrible.

PBR on tap is drinkable. Not in cans. No beer tastes better out of a can. Someone mentioned Rolling Rock. It went on the cheap lately and it's not bad but it's really light on flavor. When I could stand Coors, I could stand Keystone (Coors). No more.

All beer is cheap in America. Take your pick.

As someone who travels to the UK regularly and has sampled my fair share of pubs, I’ll take our beers all day long. So many awesome local breweries around the USA.

I like ice beer. Any ice beer. Bud ice is great but I do not care if its cheap, its what I like. I also like some of the local craft brew like Tin Man but at $10/4 pack I would go broke buying it for my buddies. Every Saturday my house is the gathering spot for 4 or 5 guys and they do like their beer.

Coors.

Yup.

Went to Colorado Mines - 1/2 mile from Coors. Every school event was free Coors. The real kind, not just "lite".

20y later my go-to camping and bowling beer is the Banquet Beer. The horsey beer is horse urine...

Back in the mid seventies when I lived in the finger lakes region of upstate NY, Genesee Cream Ale in bottles was a pretty good cheap beer that was always fresh. I think they made it with no preservatives back then but I'm not sure.

I always think the regional differences are interesting. I think its ~$17/case around here and there always seem to be a few at the bottom of the cooler. I dont drink that much beer but when on the boat.... not sure how it works but boat and beer are like PB and jelly.

I figured Billy drank most of 'em...

I do recall when $5 would last from "happy hour", until the bars closed...and a quarter would get ya a Bud from the frat's coke machine though ;)

Back when I was young and stupid it was PBR , Schlitz , Carling black label and Genesee Cream Ale ........... any of these consumed in volume guaranteed a massive hangover and/or geyser like poops !!! I don't remember exactly when it was but my dad turned me onto Michelob and I have liked it ever since . Specifically now I drink Michelob Ultra to help with the waistline :D . To me it just tastes good . Not sure it falls into the " cheap " category I think it is reasonably priced .

Have you tried the Michelob Ultra Golden or Amber? Both almost taste like beer.;)

Funny. I wonder how they can call some of this stuff beer, nothing wrong with whatever you like but its really beer in name only. :) I'll take a yinger anytime.

Man I got way to much chit

rfuerst911sc 11-02-2018 07:44 AM

It can get worse , I remember when young and stupid mixing cheap beer ( in volume ) + cheap Boones Farm apple wine = projectile hurling http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/pukeface.gif

It was like vomiting battery acid only worse :D

t6dpilot 11-02-2018 09:43 AM

Olde English 800. Just kidding... We used to buy 2 or 3 kegs of A-B products at the fraternity and get OE800 free. Last keg to be tapped. Now that would give you the worst hangover and case of the craps the next day.

I bought a 6 pack of Schlitz when it came out touting the original recipe. 5-9/10 of those bottles went down the drain. I do not buy cheap beer any more - life is too short to drink cheap beer.

rfuerst911sc 11-02-2018 11:05 AM

Like the original formula makes it better :D It was crap in any formula !

Arizona_928 11-02-2018 11:54 AM

A lot of love for Miller Lite. Anyone not like it?

You sir need to visit Portland Oregon!

However this thread is about cheap mass produced beer not micro brews.
