Can we please go back to Daylight savings?

Dark at 5:00, today I fell asleep by 8:00. Now I am wide awake.....I'll fall asleep at 2, and be dragging in the AM. More than a month left of shrinking daylight.

Dog is confused. Wants to eat at 5, he gives me 'the look' when I walk in at 5:15, it's dark, and he's hungry. But unlike a human, he is always happy to see me. Has trouble deciding if he wants me to pet him or feed him first, running back and forth between me and his food bowl.

Does anybody really like turning back the clocks?

^Lucky...^

hmm... didn't the rest of us just turn back the clocks? ..to go back to standard time.

But, yeah, I prefer DST. ...just leave it. Kids can use their cell phones while waiting fo rthe bus

^^^ Yep! I used to prefer the "extra" hour of daylight in the evening....now I don't like waiting "forever" for the sun to come up....

Just pick ONE!

I would rather change to standard time, but shift the standard working hours to match DST.

That way at noon it is still about noon via the sky.

But some folks would at least see daylight when they step out of work.

I am very messed up, went from consistent time to sleep to all over the map.

Lots of lost productivity for me.

A double espresso at 4 and I can be productive until 9-10PM. In the summer, I'm outside until 8-9 having fun. Now, I'm getting organized, etc. inside. Built some metal shelves and organized parts last night.

if you can't change it, make the most of it.

Words of wisdom Shaun, thanks.

I'll reserve a cup of joe for 5:00 today, and see if that helps.

My dogs HATE the time change in the fall. But they adjust instantly in the spring when we jump forward. They are convinced they will starve to death having to wait the extra hour to eat. So I adjust them in in 15 minute intervals over a week.

I adjust in one day. The current system is 100% logical, and moves the daylight to the times most people are operating. Short winter days suck, but that is due to living so far from the equator and is only fixed by moving further south.

I think we should be on Daylight Savings year-round. I'd rather have the daylight in the evening when it is useful to me. I don't really care if I'm driving to work in the dark.

I’d like to switch back to DST next March and then NOT switch back again next Nov. I wish we had skipped it this Nov.

The time change was on the ballot in California, the only worthwhile thing that passed. I don't know how but the sheep passed the elimination of the change. Now we will see how long it take the dimocrats here to implement it.

Perpetual daylight saving time or split the difference. I would love to get rid of the
back & forth.

How can it be possible to "split the difference" without just eliminating 30 minutes from the clock, or adding it. So suddenly it would go from 12:00 to 12:30 or 11:30?

Adding or subtracting depends on the current state.

the standardization of time-zones had to split many differences.

Seems we have a scheduling problem, not a clock problem.
Doesn't really matter if it's daylight saving time or not when you get up at 4 am.

And it's saving, not savings. Not plural.

move to AZ. We don't do that flopping around. The only issue is remembering others fall back, spring forward. And it is the perfect Monday night football time. Starts around 6 done by 9

I don’t have a problem with it,but it isn’t as important now as when I was trying to be on the go 18/7. Biggest issue is my dogs. For 3 or 4 days they need a snack at 4 am to hold them to the new breakfast time and Hours devour at 4 pm before 5 pm dinner.
