Mom passed away day before Thanksgiving. She had a bold, glorious & adventurous life living to almost 92. In her own words, "My end here will be with no regrets." While celebrating her life, I find myself wishing I had told her more often how much she meant to me---how much I loved her.

Bingo...my mom has been gone for decades now. All I can tell you is that the loss will always hurt. But given time, it will hurt less.

Don't, it is a fools errand: In two sentences you were able to capture the essence of a person who knew you.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure many of us have wished we had said more after it's too late. I believe many people, especially moms, intuit how we feel without the need for a lot of words. Still, I know the regretful feeling of things left unsaid.

Like everyone lucky enough to have been raised by loving parents, I often wish I could share a thought or ask them a question. I do realize just how lucky I am to have two parents that were married for over 50 years, and always had food to eat, and a warm safe home to live in. Parents that loved me. Born in the USA, in the land of the free. Damn lucky indeed.

Sure, we all do: Love is different. If you need affirmation best of luck.

As a parent I had to adjust my children's behavior at times, no kind words spoken. But they knew I loved them.
