Lots of good suggestions here. Thank you. That rice pilaf sounds good.
We got one of those super cooker things Saturday and in the recipe book that came with it was the url of a vegan cooking site that has some great looking recipes. There is a shepherd's pie that sounds great for the dinner. I think i'm going to try to make vegan bratwurst and smoke it.

Any vegans here?
As the old saying goes, if there were, you'd already know... My wife has been redoing our diet, mostly because of her dietary issues. While not 100% vegan, she borrows heavily from some of these books, notably 'Back to the Cutting Board".: https://www.vegan.com/cookbooks/ Lots of really good suggestions so far.

Look at Turkish food (edit for meat) and, say, Yottam Ottolenghi recipes. Ottolenghi has a whole vegetarian cookbook and there should be plenty of vegan options in it. You'll find plenty of great food there.
