My MIL likes to tell me that I work too much and that I should take time off to travel.
Usually I just smile politely as if it were perfectly acceptable for her to tell me how to live my life.

The last time I was not quite as patient and said "why do you suppose that is? Maybe I really like my stuff and my place and my space and I don't want to go somewhere away from it?
If I liked to travel I'd already be doing it. "

And then my wife made me apologize for being an intensive bastage.
