Geeze Brent, -34? I’ve never experienced temps that low anywhere. The coldest I’ve seen it is -27. The snow was like flour. Sky as as clear as I’ve ever seen it.

Around 1979, we had a storm go through upstate NY. Air temp was around -30F with Wind Chill of -60. Supposed to freeze flesh in 20 seconds.

And again, living in upstate NY, there is a place called Old Forge, NY. Every single day it would be 10-20 degrees colder there.

Old Forge - wow, what a blast from the past. I spent a couple summers at one of the lodges at the Adirondack League Club up there. Very, very good times. There was a bar in a town called Inlet ....

I'm seeing more and more Canada Goose jackets. I have seen North Face everywhere to the point of nausea. Canada Goose is right behind.

I just looked my winter coats (for snowmobile trips) are LL Bean. I never wear them in Florida.

Planned to be skiing the U.P. of Michigan today. Plans changed with the demise of a former rugby mate and a service today. No lamenting over the change in plans. Ski areas closed anyway until tomorrow when it will get up to -4.
Personally, I enjoy the cold. Gives me a chance to wear my 100+ year old bearskin coat:)

-28F on my drive into work (roadside sign readings). Learned that my Subie's dash thermometer bottoms out at -22F. :(

The only upside is that when it gets up to 20 deg. above zero, it does not even feel remotely cold. I kid you not.

Minneapolis is -55 deg windchill today. It is supposed to be 40 deg above by the weekend. People will be wearing shorts.

When I lived in MN, it was -70F windchill in '82. Had to cut wood in that, 5 minutes outside, 20 minutes inside for a couple of times.

I do not have low tire pressures. I'm running snows with no pressure sensors. I do need an oil change as of 588 miles ago.
