Holy Moly, I passed a Pagani Huarya on the street today!
I guess technically, it passed me. I was sitting at a light waiting to run and it turned from the direction that I was going to go and went back the direction from where I'd just come. I almost needed one of those automatic defib machines right there in the driver's seat. It was everything that I could do to not pull a smoky, half donut, U-turn in the middle of the intersection like some crazed Fast and Furious fan.
For the Houstonites in the group, it was the River Oaks shopping center, at the intersection of Shepherd and West Gray St. I've seen lots of impressive vehicles in the neighborhood. I've seen loads of lamborghinis, scads of Scuderia's finest, mucho McLarens and plenty of Porsches, but this is the first Pagani I've ever seen. I understand that bird watchers have "life lists" which are the lists of birds that they've seen and birds that they want to see. I think us car guys have them too, but possibly without the notebooks.

I have seen a Pagani in a showroom, never out on the road.
They are incredible builds, hark back to the custom Italian cars of the late 60's. Even a new Ferrari or Lamborghini can't compare. |

Go to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and it jades you.
I live near a community called Sewalls Point. I wish I had a dash cam in my E30, I was driving through it about 4 weeks ago. In front of me was a Tesla Model S, next to me was a Model X, in front of the Model S was a Ferrari (not sure what model possibly a 460) in front of the X was a Bentley, coming the other way was a BMW i8, followed by another Bentley followed by another Ferrari. Where I live exotics pass through a lot. Go to Miami / Ft. Lauderdale and Porches are Camrys and Ferraris and other exotics are everywhere. I have seen some Pagoni's down there they are sex on wheels. I am hoping to go to the next Cars and Coffee in West Palm next month, it is full of exotics. I will post pics if I go. About 2 weeks ago, a guy in a i8 was racing past me to make a left turn turning yellow. The sound coming from that 3 cylinder Mini engine was remarkable.

Guess I have to suspend my "man card" for awhile - never heard of a Pagani...until now.
Googled it and now I understand what all the hoopla is about. I'd be nervous driving around in a 2.5MM car in Los Angeles. Spectacular car. No doubt. I wonder if I can find one to rent on Turo ?

Everything on those cars are pieces of art.
Well, maybe except that squishy finger in the seat...

Love, Love, Love those cars. We have a local that shows up at Porsche Events with his. I am in love and if I had a lot of money that is the car for me. Those pics are great but it is even more spectacular in person.

I tend to think they are an eyesore. The design detailing is hideous. Engineering-wise, some of the details make no sense.
I find it ironic that the “made by hand” sticker was installed crooked. Oops. For that kind of money, details matter. |

I couldn't imagine having that car in that area of town. Probably never could excede 40 mph but still a fantastic grocery getter.
Yesterday on the west side I found myself next to a blue lambo with a personalized plate that said IHUNTQB. I am pretty sure it was a Texans player unless the Katy high school kids are getting booster money.

Thanks for the morning laugh. I always found the interior to be a complete design orgy overdose.

I was getting gas at my regular station when a brand new Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Sedan pulled in to get gas. The thing is HUGE, but the driver was happy to show me the interior, and back seat. They live in a neighborhood just south of mine. It is a nice car, but I can't see spending 200K on a car that will loose 100 grand in value in a few years. At the same station Russel Westbrook came in and filled up his Lamborghini once when I was there. As a non sports fan I did not know who he was until I went inside to buy some beer and the clerk told me who owned the Lambo.

The Huarya I find the interior a bit over whelming, especially with the dials lit.
However, if I had the $$$ to order one I'm sure I could get one where the final product is more subdued. The Zonda, from C12 S onwards to the F is the Pagani I'd love to have. https://youtu.be/xuetmJ-VQ10 |

when I lived in the memorial Galleria area, I used to see a guy drive his f40 regularly. Not all that rare considering the context. However, what made him a hero in my book is how often he drove it. I saw him out in light rain and crappy days every now ant then.
The rear prospex hatch fogs up a bit in the rain, 1st world problem for sure

Late 1986-ish in Houston on San Felipe at Briar Forest followed and stopped behind a 288 GTO at a light.
Nowhere near the bling of the Pagani but it was pretty snappy. What caught my eye was the rear mounted transmission and support/suspension stuff hanging well below the body.

I just saw a McLaren 570S in the torrential rain on the interstate in Miami. My hero.
