Replaced the ballcock valve in the back toilet.

(Figured this would be the only chance in my life to type the word ballcock in a public forum and not get in trouble.)

Someday you may buy a motorcycle. If you do you may find an excuse to service your petcock.

Today dropped off straight pipe and older headers for blasting and coating.
did not want to VHT spray bomb it.

After watching a video where a guy shot a bb gun at one of his used up RC batteries I am really more safety minded when charging my RC batteries now.
Be sure you dispose of it properly Baz, as I'm sure you will. One that big is pretty dangerous if not handled properly.

Yard work day here today - got a lot done but no pics...lol....

Interesting day today.. layed up the landing gear fairings I shaped last week... they should work out nicely.
My buddy and I are doing what we can to get on the water this spring, but cashish is non existent so we traded some jet fuel for this project boat. The add said "needs points" the motor turns over and doesn't make the wrong noises so we're hesitantly optimistic.. any how... we pulled the dizzy and found what you see in the pics.... points my arse, hahaha ha! If it runs across the water it'll get new upholstery and flooring as well as new flake and gelcoat.

I replaced both rear struts in the RX300 last Sunday. I didn't take any pictures. It was pretty easy to do actually. Elvis had been bouncing pretty harshly and I discovered that the left rear strut was basically blown out and had made an oily mess back there, so yep, replaced both rear struts, and now Elvis rides nice and stable again. Yay!!!

I bought one of these stem repair kits a couple of years ago. I did not think it would work.
It does!
I used it on the wife's car yesterday, the only thing I did that may have helped is I put the new stem in HOT H20 for a couple of minutes to help it conform to the inserting tube on the way dwn and in.'It took me or it two tries...Plus, I was tapping the stem attachment tool with a hammer to drive it in. Was one of the best tools in the shop..at that moment. Saved busting the tire dwn, never took it off the car.
WORKED!

I'm not a religious man, but I'll cross my fingers that walleye are jumping into your boat later this summer. I'll bet the ex-owner of the boat might be leaning towards religion; he got rid of the boat that's been taking up space and now he has some fuel to boot.
Soak the cylinders in some Mystery oil for a while? It might turn over but that rust on the dizzy would make me want to get oil on every surface I could, just in case!

(And not an afterthought at all, those strut roots are looking fantastic. You're an artist.)

I bought a similar kit in the fall of 2023 and have not tried it yet. I have two motorcycles with faulty valve stems and was going to see if I could change them out with it....

However....I've since learned how to change tires myself and seems like if the tire is old and needs to be replaced it's a moot point.

So my latest venture is looking at various devices that assist in changing tires. ;)

If it's just stem, it is for sure a timesaver!
The wife's car seemed to have failed for no particular reason.
They were all new tires a couple of months ago.....But I did not replace the stems cause they "looked" good...
maybe a lesson in there somewhere>?

Does this old blade look worn out to you?

Saturday afternoon I tried to mow down a rock with my bush cutter. :rolleyes: The rock was having nothing to do with it and one blade, (1/2 " thick ) snapped off at the pivot. I put a call in to the dealer and left a message as they are closed Saturday. In the meantime, I thought I had to mow, so welded the blade and did some of the wife's riding trail. It worked, but I knew I wouldn't trust it.
This morning I got a call from the dealer. They had a set of blades for my machine in stock. When I got there and he put them on the counter, I laughed! I could hardly believe how much the original blades had worn in 22 years.
Now the new blades are on. Everything works well and I still have to mow the rest of the trails.

I know you've all been waiting for pictures of the finished product. Here is phase 1 of a 3-phase project, 4' x 15' at the back door. I'm not crazy about the material being full of knots but the plan is to paint it in the future. I bet I want up the ladders 200 times.

Was playing with my RC truck yesterday after going to the auto show at the library and ran into a curb which broke the servo saver. I took it apart today and will put in the replacement after it comes on Wednesday.

New one is aluminum and was only $2 more than the original plastic one.

Overhead work is murder on the neck back and shoulders if you're over 40 yoa.
Anyhow.... good on ya! Looks great.
