Loving it

Reached a long awaited stage today. Installed the hold down nut plates today... about 2 hours more and it'll be far enough along to paint and assemble... at least the fuse anyway.
I was fortunate enough to borrow a dimple press to be able to shoot flush ribbits.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756422061.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756422061.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756422061.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756422061.jpg |
I brought home from the cabin a couple of vintage Zebco Model 33 reels and have been refurbishing the oldest of the two. It dates back from 1969-1971 according to some info regarding the two rivets that attach the foot to the body of the reel. I took it apart and cleaned everything in it and put new grease and oil where it needed to be. Now it is working like a champ. I am also going to refurbish the rod that it was mounted to. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6fff8e309b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ba15604e48.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...396e304d09.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0ed8cea880.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...be7c72d055.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...56abea39e2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dc77d13205.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...458131fae0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1b4aad0cad.jpg

At 6:00 a Watts link bracket has broken.
The bracket is repaired and welded. Takes 4 hours with 8 friends helping. 110 is ready in time for the first race. :) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dHn2fzqPJo4?si=J9quYlXRFmAeXwvP&start=351" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
This is the other Zebco 33 that I brought home from the cabin. This one dates back to the mid to late 70s. It has been cleaned and serviced and is ready to go fishing!!! The last picture was before cleaning. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...49ff2711e9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6b83dc5604.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...990cbc973f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...419ad4c871.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ac2b91f8e6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e1adf59bc2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...52bfe1d0b2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8f3369a2bb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dc0456c9a9.jpg

Pulled all the parking brake shivs apart blasted and coated them. Got them back together today and built a new lower actuator cable. I also made what I'm calling pasties... they’ll be easily covered with headliner material and bonded in place... they need a little more glass and trimming here and there before I commit to covering them.
Good day!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756864960.jpg |

Suspension!
Nice cool AZ day, decided to do new Billys, STI Pinks, rear sway, new rear Lower Control Arms, camber bolts out front and different exhaust. Then a custom alignment with some decent camber out front.

I installed Phillips LED brake/turn lights in the bottom of F150 yesterday, but I didn’t think they were very bright, so I ordered a different pair of LED lights and installed them in the top. The second pair was supposed to be the Mac daddy of LEDs. They aren’t. The Phillips look brighter.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756944313.jpg I built a new rack for the Dewalt tools to get them out of my toolbox. I have it temporarily mounted to the shelf, because I have a few more things to do to it… I have room for one more tool on the left. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756944714.jpg |

I also got my front driving lights working again - something as a Silverado owner I am very proud of! ;) |
I decided to do my brake lights/turn lights, after there was train of late braking cars, several weeks back. I wanted to make sure people behind me could see me.
If you zoom in above my license plate frame, there’s a row of LED lights, that really light up the back in reverse. I’ve already swapped out my headlights to LED and I have a row of LED headlights that come on with the high beams recessed in the front bumper. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756949205.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756949205.jpg |
