I didn't do the work, but I watched....does that count?
Garge door wasn't always working the way it should. Random stops both closing and opening would happen without warning. Got a guy to come out and take a look. Well, two guys actually, I didn't like the first one's 'method' of determining what was actually wrong with it so took his estimate and told him about the second guy coming (actually had called to say he was on his way just as the first guy showed up.) Anyway, second guy was really a pro. Explained how he was going to investigate the problem, then offer solutions/options to fix it. We use our garage door as a front door to the house so it sees a lot of use. He found the springs had 2014 dates on them so yeah, they're shot. Spent easily double what the first guy had quoted me but I'm super happy with the new springs and bearings, plus the full tune-up to the door/opener. We won't have to worry about the door hurting any of our grandkids when they come to visit now. Not that the old springs would have hurt someone, but the potential to hurt is now greatly reduced.

Nice. It's been too long since we've seen an update!

Went to start the 911 today and it was a no go. My new CHT sensor connection, doesn’t work with the factory harness connector, and loosens up or disconnects. It just doesn’t snap on properly. So, I zip tied it for now and I’ve sent a message to pelican asking for help.
Replaced some black interior screws that were slightly rusty. |

Sounds like you pushed through to get the job done so you don't have to do it tomorrow.
Chapeau! It's going to be great when it's done!

Strong winds last night. One old fence post gave up. Had a replacement sitting ready with the insulators in place. No frost in the ground . Used a bar to lever the old point out of the ground and dropped in the new(er) post. Tractor bucket set it, I don't swing a maul unless I have to. Done in less than 15 minutes

Finished installing the correct washers on the transmission mounts.
Then raised the 911 and pressure washed all up underneath. I’m not sure what the black goop was on some places, but it was hard harder to get it off. ![]() ![]()
