They are the same uf value as the originals just a higher voltage capacity which makes them larger. I did learn with this project that you need to use non-polarized capacitors in a crossover.

I actually just had the amplifier professionally rebuilt. I thought about doing it, but now I have support and a warranty if it fails.

That'll be pretty cool when you get it sorted. You'll probably need a typewriter to label the buttons when you get it filled with 45's!

I sent a couple boards off to be rebuilt last year for my Asteroids.......the guy also sent me a replacement for my big blue cap.........machine works great!
The guy who did the work set a world record for Asteroids playing time (over 39 hours straight!) back in the day. This is why Facebook exists! :p http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651023390.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651023390.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651023390.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651023390.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651023390.jpg |
Thats awesome!! There is one older guy that specializes in the model I have. Sounds similar to the the guy you are dealing with for your machine.
Love that there are still people you can go to. |

I have been making it ours with stuff my family likes. I think in the photo you can see quite a few Bruce Springsteen albums, that is my wife's special section. I did underestimate a bit at what a monumental task it is to curate 100 45s. |

Threw up some makeshift shelves for my orchids this morning. Out of desperation I used the back part of my outdoor shower.
Just temporary until I get further along with organizing my spaces here. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651459725.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651459725.JPG |
Neighbor friend around the corner sprinkler issue.
Five zones - none of which had adequate pressure and a couple were running simultaneously. Classic case of one or more valves not working as it should. Fortunately I had extra brand new valves on hand. Just replaced the top and insides of two of them - problem solved. Good old Rainbird! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651515492.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651515492.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651515492.JPG The crazy matrix configuration is because this was a conversion from an indexing vale to electric valves. I did it back in 2017 and didn't wanted to spend a bunch of extra time on it making it look all pretty. That I save for new installs. ;) |
Finally got a few minutes to re-paint my front steps.
The turquoise color I had been using was just too hard to keep from getting smudged from foot traffic so I decided to go to grey. Also, I used a solvent based concrete solid stain this time. It went down very easily and dried faster than I expected. Not sure if I will do 2 coats or not. Next up with be a re-paint of the front. It's been 22 years since I painted it last. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651717060.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651717060.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651717060.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651717060.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1651717060.JPG |
My mechanic changed out the turn signal assembly in the Silverado so I would have a functioning 4 way flasher again. It's been inoperable since about 2006 so thought it's about time to fix it.
Also got the horn working again. More to do in time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652399207.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652399207.JPG |
^ That truck is going to be one of those million mile vehicles we sometimes read about!

The driver's seat leather in the E28 was looking pretty grim, so I bought a bottle of dye that came with a small pot of crack filler and I went at it. The photo shows a slight metamerism between the seatback and the base of the seat, but to the human eye there is absolutely no color shift, and now the passenger and drivers seat match nicely in color and texture and overall wear, showing a worn-in patina rather than a worn out sadness.

^^ That looks fantastic, Herr Oberst.....nice work!!!

Reassembled the Kuhn drum mower this afternoon. Had to have the bearing seats replaced in one drum. New blades and blade pivot bolts and I should be ready for haying season. Oh yeah. I have to rebuild the back bunk of one of the hay wagons.
It never ends. Best Les |
Adjusted fuel pressure and Carb then put it in the trailer. Test Friday.
