I’m selling my car... built a website.

I’m selling my 76 Turbo for reals this time. I built a website to market the car.

Let me know what you think.

I know I need to add some undercarriage and interior shots.

Good luck. Why not put a price? Not that I have the money... :)

Unreadable with Chrome. Dark background with black, purple and blue text.

Yeah change the colors already.
How did you choose those?
Not easy to read at all. (Is it for you? Then I reckon you are colorblind or something :) h

First, its better than i could ever do. However, From my iPad, I can barely read or see anything. Also, the content, font, and coloring and feel looks very outdated. Marketing is one of those things you either need to do right or not at all. If this is not your thing, $500 goes a long way with a college kid who has a passion for digital media.

Hey UncleB I think it looks great but I use a laptop when I check PPOT.
Cheers, Guy

I understand what you are going through. I am selling my Miata on Autotrader and Kijiji.

Site looks good, Scott.
Good luck with your sale.

Really?

It looks fine on my iPad and with chrome? It even works good on my iPhone.

Thank you for this... now to figure out what went wrong...

fanaudical 03-31-2019 08:11 AM

The site works well for me. Good luck with the sale.

Are you sure you are looking at the right site?SmileWavy

My pc laptop using Chrome as a browser, it really looks good. I thought that maybe you had fixed it because it didn't appear as the other two posters had mentioned.

Posted on my Facebook page and BVD Motorsports page

Looks great to me. If I ever wanted to re-enter 911 stewardship, that would be in the running.

Looks excellent on my ipad.

Seems like a good idea given the value of the car- I think it also will remove doubt about it being a scam like an add on Craigslist or similar might.

I'm using Chrome on my Dell laptop and can't read anything either. I get the same view as the screen shots above.

On FireFox the site looks the business, well done.

The "Vulcan" pic was a nice touch.

Beautiful car, btw.

gchappel 03-31-2019 09:39 AM

Chrome on windows 10 system, basically unreadable.

Hmm. I checked on my dell with Chrome and it is ok...

javadog 03-31-2019 10:11 AM

I'm using Firefox and the background is dark and the thumbnails don't do anything. In fact, nothing much on the page works at all.

General comments:

Lose the crash bar and yellow foglight on the front of the car.

The artsy photos are nice (well, some of them are worth keeping) but you need to photograph the car in detail, in one place. Don't just use whatever photos you have on your computer. There needs to be a section where the entire car is photographed, at one time, in one spot.

Don't use any photos of your other cars, track events, or anything extraneous.

More detailed history on the car needed.

Good luck.
