I personally think the 993 is the worst looking of all the air cooled versions, but to each his own!

I see air cooled VW bugs every day, VW buses maybe once a month.
Air cooled Porsches, once a week at the most but never going a month with out seeing a 356 or 911 on the road.
I can not tell a 993 from the water cooled cars. I would not know if I saw one, water cooled Porsche are every where every day. They never wave at me and I do not even try waving at them anymore. 911 and 356 almost always wave.

VW buses are as common here as Chevys.

I see a red 993 sometimes after work headed towards Bluffton. It’s not my favorite car, but it beats the ugly 964 cars hands down.

The 89 and earlier are best. Especially the 930 with the big hips.

I'm wondering where all the Boxsters went. There used to be half a dozen parked at the Safeway near me at any given moment. Now I rarely see them on the parking lots or on the road.

OK, so we have bashed the 993 for being ugly - great car but ugly.

The gorgeousest (handsome if you don't like that word) would be a '89 speedster in silver.

I guess that is why Porsche (and all manufacturers) make different cars. I think the 993 is great looking, and a 911 Cab is butt ugly. Only thing worse is a 964 Cab. I will never buy either one.

I will stick with my 85 Coupe, no tail. The perfect 911 shape. But I might possibly maybe possibly have a slight prejudice on that fact.

I agree. If a non car person asks me what sort of Porsche I have, I say a Porsche looking Porsche, and they know what I mean.

Beginning with the 1974 model year, the 911 shape began it's downhill slide...the truth may hurt some, but there it is.

nah it doesnt hurt because its just your truth not mine...which is to say that its nothing more than your opinion

some people said the Dino GT4 was ugly too. Not me. I think its one of the most beautiful cars ever designed and I kick myself that I didnt buy one when a nice one could be had for $20K.

Im a 70s/80s kid and love them impact bumpers

That said, if I won the mega millions i would buy up every nice 60s 911 I could find, certainly they are aesthetically flawless (to me)

and since we all have opinions, here's one of mine...I HATE those H4 headlight conversions. Such a small thing but to me it totally ruins the look of the 911 fenders. I just cant stand the look of them and I dont care how much better they work

That looks like a homage blend of 959 and 550 to me.
Those were not my original favorites..but me still likely all the same.

Would def·i·nite·ly not kick out of bed.

(btw Firefox spelling of the Queens's English is again round file material in this year of 2019.)
(def·i·nite·ly worse than my own)

Not IMO. The 74 looks crisp, has a more rigid chassis, was the longest running body style, had more torque off corners and around town, longer range, the list goes on and on. The long hoods are cool but look like old man cars. The 993 has good refinement but looks like a flattened fish.
