i have an 03 Dakota with the v6.
what a POS.
need I say more.
great looking truck, rides nice and in part the wife really wanted to buy it for me. (not blaming her at, it was my call but it is a really good looking truck).
like they say in the horse world, pretty don't ride.

unfortunate. PPI's on Dodge products are incredibly simple. If you see a Dodge or Ram logo move on.

Well we have a 2000 Durango with 192k miles that has been a good truck. Still mostly rust free here in the midwest. It is the 318 and we mostly use it for towing or taking the dogs to the lake now. It has had Mobil 1 since forever, changes every 6k miles. It has the tow package though with the heavy duty cooling and large transmission cooler.

Dodge likes to take a great motor, then wrap it in complete garbage. 8.0 v 10, cummins, 318, 360. Some of the best powerplants in the history of the gasoline engine . Surrounded by failure, sadness, and desperation .

That's why I have a 435hp 360 with an a833 behind it in the Cobra.

Dude, about the best you are going to be able to do is feel bad for her. Whatever you do, don't remind her that you warned her before she got into this deal, better to vent your spleen here.

Run the 20W50 until it blows up, make sure you have Triple A or something so you can get it towed home from wherever it finally craps itself.

Could not agree more. Any advice or criticism you give give her now will be surrounded by failure, sadness, and desperation.

There are some things that just cannot be improved upon. Thanks FF!
