Cannot find what color badging to use for my 1990 porsche 944 s2 cab.

Hello all you Porsche enthusiasts! I am looking for some help finding out what color rear deck Lid badging to purchase for my 1990 Porsche 944 s2 cab. it has the black exterior w/ linen interior. Black convertible roof. I called Porsche and they said that they didn't keep records of that back then. tried calling the previous owners and no response. the only one that responded was the widow of the gentlemen that owned the car. The other 944's that I did see with the badging still on them, all had black, but does that mean that a black car would also have black.
this is the last piece to the puzzle in making this car a totally original and beautiful 944. I am hoping that someone has actual facts and not just a guess.

You can get a Certificate of Authenticity from PCNA. It is notorious for not always being correct, but it is what the factory records have.

I would suggest you join the Porsche Club of America. They have experts on each model of car, and likely can find your answer. It will also get you into the local club. and other members with similar cars. We have lone local member that know a LOT about 944s, and may well know what you are looking for, but I don't think he posts on Pelican.

Jut got to PCA.org and look around.

On a black car, it would be the silver-colored "944 S2" emblem from the factory on the deck lid, no question.
It would also be the silver-colored "PORSCHE" decal above the rear bumper.

EDIT:

Just saw it was a Cab. No deck lid emblems on NA Cabs, only the "PORSCHE" decal above the rear bumper.
I believe the "16 Ventilier" front fender molding/trim was also a common option.

No deck-lid emblem on the Cabs that I know of. The only exception being the Turbo Cabs which just had the "Turbo" badge on the deck lid.

My White Cab didn't have any stinking badges either.
