Actually.. it really was that quiet.. the round was very weak and low pressure to begin with.. and a silencer really made it quiet..

mosin nagant was the rifle which was a shared design after a design competition picked the best design of the mosin rifle and hte best design of the nagant rifle to combine it into the mosin nagant.
