Yeah, I know, what is it 1980 or something with a fax? Still routinely used in the healthcare industry

Seems like everything is crap, but you guys know everything else, so probably one of you knows this sort of thing inside and out

A color LASER printer. Forget inkjet.

A color laser all in one will do it, and last for many years with cheap refills. Brother seems to have many products that just work.

I asked a similar question for home use about a month ago, and the resounding answer was Brother.

However, how many pages per month will you generate? What are the consequences of it being down? At work we gave up and started leasing HP equipment from a local shop. Agreed pages per month, kind of like a car lease. If it breaks, they come out and either fix it or swap it.

Yea, for very heavy use, leasing is the way to go.

I have a Brother HL-L3290CDW but it does not do fax!

Only my CPA uses a fax anymore so I did not care. It does have single sheet feed for letterhead or printing a shipping label or business check.

The UPS store does all my printing, faxing and scanning, good excuse to get my favorite Chinese food.
They gave me their PW for the store copier, color printer, fax & scanner.
As a remote worker, its like going to the office Coffee machine to chat with others like me about PARF, great entertainment.
in 3 years, I haven't spent enough for one of their Xerox's units yet.

There are online fax services. Someone sends fax to the number, the image gets emailed to you, and you can reverse the process too.

I'd consider having a dedicated fax machine, rather than let your choice of printer/scanner/copier be limited by the need for fax feature.

If you do significant volume, a genuine office copier will be signif cheaper per page. I think mine (Kyocera Taskalfa 3252ci) is like 1c/page for B&W.
