Another solution! Wait until there's a local world's strongest man competition and have them carry it.
Done and done!

Success!
I have been stressing about this all week. I have an incredible neighbor who was investigating and asking advice from his contractor friends. Thank you Jim! This morning the wife and I dedicated the day to the move and kicked off the process at 10 am. I had to move the trailer out of Jim's property, down the road, and reverse into a long driveway to turn around and prepare for a pull entry. I have practiced this entry all week long coming home from work. Jim had some heavy lumber which came in handy to raise the trailer in the bottom of the turn. Lots of difficult angles. We had 4 spotters, my wife in black guiding my front bumper past the fence. The Jeep did great! I drove it in in 4L and had no issues with power...brakes on the down hill were a bit iffy...the trailer is 6800 lbs.
![]() ![]() ![]() I can gloat a bit, not one time did I have to back up and redo the drive. It was low and slow the entire time. Shut down the motor, have a drink (water), walk the situation. Once on the straight approach to the main yard I had to negotiate a left turn and long pull deep into the property. I had 10 70 lb sacks of gravel in heavy plastic to ease the transition back onto the pavers...do not want to destroy the soldier stones in concrete holding it in place. I got the trailer pulled in place, backed to fence, and disconnected the Jeep to reposition for a pull into the fence line end spot. ![]() ![]() A couple pulls and reposition and we are IN PLACE! The Jeep is now TRAPPED! HAHA! Not really, I have a few feet in front to start pivoting out. Cut down some old growth to make that happen. I left the Jeep attached so that we could level the trailer in the morning fresh with some eggs and coffee. I want to thank everyone on this board for posting your advice and encouragement. I am 58 and have never pulled a trailer before. I plan to level and block it tomorrow, connect to power from the home. |
