So. Do you have a lucky charm?
Mines odd and random.
It’s my lucky pencil. Got it day-1 in college and it has never failed an exam. 0.07 lead cuz I’m ham-fisted

Nope, I am not even a little bit superstitious. It is a silly as having lucky socks or underwear.
I don't know of any phobias that I have, and no superstitions either.

nope, never have.
I've always thought that it was interesting that some folks always seem to carry a specific object whether it's for luck or whatever reason, and have thought, "I should find something to carry." I just don't have any desire to carry something that has no practical purpose. I try to carry as little as possible. No item has ever seemed lucky to me. I already feel like I lead a pretty charmed life without any specific item to tie that luck to.

I wear a Tiki on a corded necklace that was carved by Inoke Pomale' out of Buffalo bone. It is "Lono" the god of fertility, agriculture, rainfall, music and peace.
When I first bought it I was joking with him about it bringing bad luck, Greg Brady style. He was serious about Hawaiian folklore and religion, told me to trust in Lono and he will bring me luck. I was house hunting when I got back home and the house I really wanted already was in escrow. I kept looking at other houses and kept wearing Lono, seeing if he would bring me luck. 3 weeks later I was checking Realtor.com and lo and behold the house had fallen out of escrow that day and was re listed. Long story short, got the house and Lono has brought me tons of luck since then. I need to have the cord replaced, but can't bring myself to ship it back to Inoke and go 2 weeks without Lono. I'm just going to rig it on another cord and have him do it next time I'm in Hawaii. Crazy.

Well, I do have some items I'd cry about if lost or stolen. My Josey cue, of course..but even more than that, my 3 bladed Case stockman knife that Cindy gave me for a long ago birthday. It's one of those useful objects I'd feel naked without. But I never considered anything as "lucky". Definitely not the cue...hell, people with cheap cues but a higher skill level beat me all the time.

In an early betting gimmick, he would sucker lesser players by offering to play a hole or two using a quart-size glass Dr Pepper bottle instead of a club. The stunt later led to a lucrative advertising contract with Dr Pepper. It had to really make a duffer boiling mad to get beat using 10 grand of clubs against a guy with a Dr. Pepper bottle worth 2 cents.

So, Trevino's bottle stunt? The pool world is full of stuff like that...crazy things way beyond "I could beat you using a broomstick". Called proposition bets...only fools fall for them. But we're getting away from "lucky charms". In my younger years of Scuba diving, I'd see both divers and surfers wearing a shark's tooth necklace. Superstition was you wouldn't drown if wearing one. I thought that such necklaces couldn't have been lucky for the shark that donated the tooth, so didn't buy one.

No flak here...I remember my mom placing one on the handlebar stem of my bike when I was a kid. She a devout Catholic...and I'll never slam religion because I witnessed the comfort her belief gave her when she knew she was at deaths door.
