That is what I would do, I'm surprised no one said anything about those butt ugly wheels.
My Cousin Billy's 62.

I've often found people with money; as in a fair amount of decresionary - doesn't always translate to having good taste or the understanding of value.

As I ruefully shake my head........

when I first opened my biz. I distinctly remember the parts driver offering me 2 complete rochester fuel injection setups for $1000.00. I had the cash too. I should have grabbed them and saved them.
I always wanted to use one on on a hotrod project. Fuel injection was just starting to appear on american cars back then.

FWIW, I had a 57 with a factory powerglide that I installed '63 injection on back in the day, in winter, outside on the street. Wierd combo, but drove nice.

My 911SC has 7x9 17" wheels, 20/21 cams, no A/C, etc. Numbers don't match. One day it may have a 3.6. It's my car.

I keep looking for the green.

Weren't those optional knock-off wheels for corvettes, I assume, fairly rare?

It looks like they were a '63-67 option.

I think they are better looking than the hubcaps that most of them came with.

The wheels on the car in question are cheap looking copies of those original finned wheels and they look homemade compared to the factory items.

There are people around these days that make that old FI sing. too bad he got rid of it. and the wheels, yes, get rid of them.
My 64 was a numbers matching factory 360 HP without FI, I sold it because if I kept it I would do stuff like this guy, it only had 110k miles on it and I just didn't want to mess it up.

A friend of a friend of mine bought a 63 split window coupe brand new. Back about 65 he got tired of the crappy rear vision and had a single rear window put in to replace the split. He has regretted that for years, but he is old enough now he will keep it as it is and let whomever buys it from his estate deal with it.
