One of my favorites. His final appearance on Letterman and "keep me in your heart for a while " makes me tear up still to this day. Enjoy Every Sandwich is a motto and may become a tattoo before too long

Little old lady got mutilated late last night.....
Rolls off the tongue like Lyle Lovett’s Put down that fly shatter and get me some ice water. I recorded Zevons interview on Letterman and watch it periodically for inspiration. What did Dave say after Zevons first appearance, something to the effect ‘ want to go out and have a drink?’ They wound up in a rented car some where like Witchita. Thought it ironic his second to last album before he knew he was terminal the title was. ‘My Ride is Here’. Rich |
