Talk about loosing a bogie in the back scatter….. thanks for sharing that Byron. This reminds me of the historical pics of the Boing facility in Everett, WA during the war. It looked like a town from the sky when in-fact, it was an aircraft facility.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e6a5a25690.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
That is a great pic of a camo Boeing facility, but it is in fact Boeing Field (Seattle) looking across the Duwamish river. Everett had not been built yet. Cool shot though.
707-E6A TACAMO TO251 during flight test, 1987 or so. Tail damage during flutter testing. This is the second failure, as the first was not captured on film. Repeat test number three passed though the aircraft's high speed limits were reduced. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1695670621.jpg |

I couldn’t find an accurate pic of the Everett facility nor one of the pics they had in their facility museum/info center. I did locate the above pic of a camouflaged building as reference.. My bad for not placing that disclaimer under the pic. Surry bout dat… Great pic of the flutter damage https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cb8a6408c3.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e6401da80b.jpg |

No problem - and cool 185 picture with an interesting paint scheme! Looks like Placerville where I bought mine. Purchase day 2005, my trade in, a 1956 182 is to the left.

Went to PPL intro course.. came to quick conclusion I can't afford it(Belgium does not have cheap fuel like USA)..
Went to Glider field next week.. came to quick conclusion I can afford it and now I have a new hobby.. Took a flight with instructor, intro, got some stick but wasn't a real lesson.. Gotta wait for the new season next spring to get full course going.. https://i.imgur.com/P59lMTi.jpeg This is the sailplaine I flew in: https://imgur.com/hcGBcy3.jpeg Total fun, was a perfect day, got a tow to bout 1500 AGL et and we went to about 2500 (airspace restriction and not enough much thermals) At some point a buzzard or some other bird of prey was soaring just 30 feet above us... pretty awesome.. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cxk4pToNvoX/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA == (not me at controls) |
Anyone have a suggestion on how to post a short video clip taken via the iPhone. Other than posting it on YouTube and attaching an embedded link?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...01faf58f12.jpg
