Guessing from the swept wing configuration, high tail plane and fences on the wings, I'm guessing Mig 15.
Best Les |
15 indeed
but the 17 has fences too the angle and straight bit of trailing wing near fuselage is telling for 17, which this one don't have https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...F_Top_View.JPG |

Wicked Cold War fighter. Very cool to see at air shows. Simple, fast and effective. The Saber F-86 was our answer to the MIG 15 during the Korea dayshttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...266e0910a4.jpg

He stated once that the show allowed him to feed the F-86. He is a huge aviation nut too. Seems like a nice guy. |

Ok fellers n fellerinas, handheld radio survey time!!!!
I did a quick search in my own thread [emoji3061] just to make sure I hadn’t forgot that I already asked this question. For those of you that have purchased a small handheld aviation TX/RX radio, what have been your experiences? Brand? Size n style? Reliability? Comm only vs Nav/Com Customer support? And…….. hindsight being 20/20, would you purchase it again or throw it into the drink to swim with da fishes??? Let the opinions fly???? (Pun intended[emoji12]) thanks in advance for your input. Cheers Bugs I posted this link in this thread 3 years ago, so I’m re-posting it just to get yur juices flowing. https://youtu.be/QCXQceEKNbM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Anyone own or ever fly a Hummelbird?? Was thinking about building one.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1660057129.jpg

I think, YMMV of course, that a single seat sport aircraft would get old. I fly with my neighbor once a month or so in his J-3 Cub and it is more fun to have the option of flying with someone.
I almost pulled the trigger on a Vans Aircraft many years ago...flew at the factory since my Dad lived in Bend at the time. Terrific product. When I was stationed in Millington, Tn for 16 months, I was a "geobach" and helped a friend of mine build a Harmon Rocket during the week to pass the time. Very straight forward build. https://www.vansaircraft.com/rv-8/ http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1660061322.jpg |

I love the Van’s line. Been through the factor in OR, twice. Even have a binder of RV-8 preview plans. Each time my pocket with the wallet vibrates and I hear the words….”do it!!!!!” LOL. If that blue n silver one is yours……..I don’t like you anymore…[emoji23][emoji1787][emoji23]. I have Van Envy. Cheers https://youtu.be/P0Mm_fFUZDo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I decided, after 4k plus hours, that I just wanted to find a buddy with a plane that had their stuff in one sack that would let me pay for gas. He lives a mile away:D |

That’s awesome! Thanks for posting. My great uncle wrenched on P47’s in WWII. Pictures and stories of them surviving unbelievable battle damage and still able to get the pilot home. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dae48b2c50.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...24bcba09c5.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b1605d853a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...03465fc94c.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f86d04aca6.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b708bacc9a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2e043a761e.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f559a1c183.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6f0be2ece2.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
