any late model racers

ok, im new to the circle track stuff. I would prefer road course but I got the car for free from my father in law.
I have had a few issues and really not been able to "drive" the car like I would like. (brakes, gearing, tires).
I scraped all the marbles off the tires this week so I would have clean tires. I still question the condition of the tires but that's another issue.
first session out I was actually able to work on my braking point and my gearing was better as I was hitting 6500 as I was lifting. (im still slow so I may have to change the gear later). there was a cone on the track so i had a reference point this time and i worked up to lifting much later than i had in the past.

my questions or concerns.
it seems like the car was getting loser after about 5 laps on exit. seemed to get worse in later sessions.
not sure if it was that my corner speeds were up,
I was not getting the tires cleaned off as there were a lot of small rocks on them in the pits. the last session the car had NO grip at all for the first few laps out even though I tried to scrub the tires on the track.
the tires were used and the edges had lots of wear and were a bit rounded.
I am running an open rear diff so maybe I am spinning the inside tire. i am going to lock up the rear end before i go out again.

I have not done ANY adjustments to the car since I got it. i have just been working on driving and tire temps/pressures right now.
i don't have any problem turning, but that may change with a locked rear.

i feel good and bad about my times,
24.5 is slow but i was pretty consistent when i wanted to be. that made me feel good.
i think i need to be in the 23's. so i am about 1 second slow which i don't think that is that bad for my first time really driving the car.

tire temps show i have too much camber in the right front(it does not look like a lot).
at first i was thinking i am not driving fast enough to get it to really lean over.
it does have an 800lb spring up front. left side tire temps look good as far as camber.
(with the rounded edges of the tires i am now wondering if i have been getting accurate temps)
i did 3 sessions, first 2 the left side rear was about 10 degrees hotter.
on the last session both rear tires averages were 10 degrees cooler then the previous session. the fronts were still the same.

example of temp
right rear inside to outside

29psi 153 153 154
28psi 138 141 138 (this session both rears were cooler)

i don't have scales or camber gauge yet

Your tire temps look good for the camber and tire pressures you are running.

Your camber needs will change as you progress as a driver.

That's all I can offer as a road course guy.

that was right rear on a solid axle.

right front was

28psi 142 145 139
28psi 157 158 144 (after a 2 psi drop in pressure)
28psi 157 150 146 (another 1 psi let out)

the front end felt good, the rear is where i was having issues.
again wondering if I was just going faster so I was more on the limit and just giving it too much gas.

still curious how a locked rear end would feel

been thinking about my driving and the car,.

I am thinking about leaving the car alone for the next few times out to see if my lap times improve because of driving vs that car.

yes. no?

I would say yes, leave it alone and get in some laps. It's hard to hit a moving target.
