Nissan North American Employee #001, farewell.

When I was in high school, I dated a girl very seriously. My family was in shambles, and he family took me in an treated me so well. He mom was a gem. I would stay at their house, and everyone would fall asleep, and she would sit at the kitchen counter with me, and let me drink a beer or two, and let me talk and give me good, kind advice.

She was Nissan North America employee #001. The secretary got the first employee number, because they needed someone to handle the paperwork for all the rest.

They had a 300zx turbo, and inexplicably let me drive it.

She passed away this week. I fancy myself tough. A managing director pissed off and shouting for blood in a meeting does not phase me a bit. Her death hit me in the chest like a sledgehammer. I sat in my office at home an cried for a good while.

Goodbye Judy, thank you for being so kind to a young fool.

She didn't think you were a young fool. My heart goes out to you over your and your family's loss. Unfortunately this is something that we all have to live through.

It's great how some people you're not actually related to give you a part of their hearts and understanding. You were lucky. Sometimes we feel like we owe a person like her more than those of our own blood.

She lent you a hand when you needed it..you took it and it helped make the man..human being you turned out to be. I would think that she felt gratified and was proud you turned out so well.

She was a very kind and considerate person. Her time was well spent here. No higher accolades can be given. She is rip.

It's not surprising that you reacted the way you did. Judy showed you unconditional love. It was like losing your mother.
The best thing we can do in life is leave something good when we're gone. A good part of what you are today is down to this lady.

Sorry for your loss. RIP Judy.

Be thankful you had the chance to know this fine lady , a gift that is hard to place a value on . I would think you both benefited from the experience of knowing each other . Remember all the good/funny times while you are grieving it will be helpful . Thanks for sharing the story .

Sorry for your loss. Similarly, I lost a close family friend from my childhood a few weeks ago. My brother and I reconnected with him a year or so ago, and I’m sure glad we did.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like the world lost a gem.

Most of what I consider my best family is not related to me by blood.
