VW bus pricing
Any VW bus experts out there? My lifelong friend was restoring this 79 bus when he passed away. It’s pretty much gutted on the inside and full of various interior and engine parts. It runs good and is legally registered. Any guesses on worth?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1567220167.jpg

I'd venture $6-8k. Kind of depends on the corrosion situation.
|
Thanks for the price. Very little rust. He had removed most of it before he painted it.
|
buy it and put a Porsche in it, would be great.

Nice Mercedes wheels....
|
I was going to say 7k. Also love the mbz wheels
|
not the valuable year/model but a far better driver then the early slow ones
just saw a 21 window go for 130k on tv nuts 23 windows are more and older and slower |

My son has a 71 Westfalia. I mentioned that he should swap the engine from the 79 into his. He laughed....keep it original was his comment.

Subaru swaps are common enough that more than one company supplies conversion kits. Friend of mine has done 2, first one was totalled.

back in the 60's the corvair was the eazy swap into the vw bus
there was a corvair van/bus/truck also but not a good hiway driver dad had one for a very short time as it wind wandered badly |
My friend put had a Subaru engine put into his 71 Westfalia. Took a reputable shop almost a year and over $20 grand. That thing friggin flys now. They had to do a radiator and some kind of ECU. He wanted a turbo but not enough room.

A half cab with a 993 3.6 would be a fun ride . That is a nice looking van .
