Thinking of selling my first car, anyone have interest in a 59' Austin Healey?
I got this car in 75' when I was 16 and just never sold it. Redid it when I was in college and then would drive it in the summer sometimes. In 92' the wiring gave up and let the smoke out, so I parked it and drove the 250SL I had instead. Thinking I was going to fix it sometime over the winter time. Parked it in the barn at my parents house, and it has been sitting under a cover ever since then. My father passed away last fall and mom is looking to move out, so looks like its time to let it go. It will need a bit of care to be running again, or a full restoration to be a show car. This is one of the very last 100-6's made that was a two seater. One of only 329 made in 1959. Has a very rare factory two seater hardtop. Less than 100 were made total. I also have another motor and a bunch of body parts to go with it as I parted out a car as well. Let me know if you have interest and I can send some more photos. I will be a bit firm on my price for now at $25k. Just email me at von@vonsmog.com for more info.

Great car! I would love it. I don't need another car, but I'm a sucker for cars that mean something to people.

Wow! I wish I was in the position. My dad had a '67 3000 before I was even a squirt. I've always loved/wanted one, but can't take yours.
Good luck.

Von - What a beauty........I had a '59 100-6 in college....Does yours have the electric overdrive with a toggle switch on the dash?
Very tempting, but I'm holding out to replace my 1962 XKE Roadster if I ever find the right one again.......... Would you be open to trade a Long Hood......Project 85% complete?

And Bob, I would love to have a long hood again, but this is not the right time for me to get another project.

I had a 66 from 89-96. I think your price is low especially if there is little more than surface rust. Post it up on some Healey marketplace discussion forum to get a better idea of value.

You won't have any trouble selling that at your price. I've seen the black and white scheme before. Is it factory?

Beautiful, too bad you are looking to reduce the vehicle count, or I would offer you a Porsche for it!

My next door neighbor has one, and another close gear-head friend has one as well... both are well-connected in the AH community. If you want me to pass the information along for distribution or review feel free to send me a PM.
I wish I had room for one more car in the garage...

Don't need another car, but I have a soft spot for AH's. I had a '54 & '56 back in the day. I love the old cars with the top down.

Perfect car for Bring A Trailer. Could bring more than the current asking price.

Here are a few more photos I took today of it. Have had quite a bit of interest in it, but no takers yet. A lot of low ballers and flippers but I see them all the time with my Unimogs. I don't know if Bringatrailer.com is the place for this, as they seem to be bottom feeders as well for something that is not running.

I agree with Jack, this is exactly what Bringatrailer is all about.
The things you've got going for you are 1)desireable model, 2)long ownership history, 3) spare parts cache. I'd at least put a story ad together and submit it with your present price as reserve. If they balk at it that's their loss, but I think you have a lot to gain.
