Were you around when Johnco (I'm pretty sure that was his name) was a poster here? I think he installed swimming pools in Louisiana near New Orleans. He's also unbreakable (hopefully, I don't think he's posted in a while). |
Glad that you're still consuming oxygen!

Adds new meaning to the word "survivor." If I come here to whine about the pain of arthritis, please, someone direct me to this post. Be well my friend. |

I met up with a very good friend today from my previous life, was so good to see him and we really belly laughed as soon as I said "When I was dead" while discussing what each of us had been up to since we last met :D I'm so pleased flatbutt listened to the excellent advice given, modern medicine and doctors if given the chance can perform miracles on tough old dudes like us  |

Flatbutt . . . listen to docs . . . or Flatbutt = Flatline. |
Yeah. Flatbutt no flatline, ok? SmileWavy

As much as I hate going to 3 specialists on a quarterly basis, I have taught them all to work together on treatments/prescriptions, so the side effects are minimal.
Flatbutt, you will have to through some testing/waiting/worrying, and uncomfortable procedures, but they have your best interest in mind...good luck ! |

Did you receive a "clot buster" when you went to the ER?
|
"Did you receive a "clot buster" when you went to the ER?" Yes, and two shots of Heparin.
Zeke, My diet is lean protein like chicken and fish, very rarely beef. I have a green salad at least once a day sometimes twice. The only fried food I eat is my breakfast, eggs in olive oil. I'm low carb, but when I eat bread it's whole grain. I've been going easy on fruit because of the sugar, baked goods because of the fats. My exercise is limited due to my spinal cord injury but I do exercise moderately and do not spend my days on the couch. So I don't what the heck is going on. Maybe shoveling snow is too acute an activity whereas my bicycling isn't? I just don't know what I can do differently. Hoping the follow up sheds more light on it. |
I would say a coronary spasm is possible. Your symptoms were a bit longer lived than a coronary spasm is usually associated with but it it something to consider.
Glad you are here to tell the tale and wish you all the luck in the coming days. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/angina/expert-answers/coronary-artery-spasm/faq-20058316 |
