Previously posted but got results this time.
I have a hard time with a Mole in the front yard. The Mole has beaten me in every way. Don't give me advice because I have listened to everyone. Applied it and to no avail.
What finally got him out of my yard is something I never thought of. The Mole eats grubs. The Mole doesn't eat your grass roots. If you KILL the grubs, the Moles move on to your neighbors. I put down a grub killer with the advice of my landscaper. I got to feeling bad because I didn't do my neighbors connected lawn, so I got another bag of these grub killing granules and doubled the dose. Well.... It worked. No food for the bastard and they cross the street in the middle of the night and now your neighbor buddy can deal with it. |

Good on getting the mole gone. The city of Austin is now buying hotels to house the homeless. No rules, no limit to length of stay, bring your drink and drugs.

Get off my lawn!

We had a mole issue in our front yard. It is amazing to see how far they can dig in short order. We used the poison gummy worms and that drove him to the back yard. Our male dachshund knew he was not supposed to dig in the dirt, but his breeding and nature overruled training and he was shoulder deep in the mud in short order. That seems to have driven him to the neighbors yard and they hired a exterminator and problem solved. I feel certain our back yard will remain free of mice, and moles. He has captured several mice and almost got a mole. Lizards and snakes have been dispatched. I have had to rescue a few snakes from him.
Moles are a minor problem of grubs. Skunks are a MUCH bigger issue. We had a skunk show up and the first visit resulted in the side of the body spraying of our dog. The second visit a few weeks later got the dog right in the face. I wanted to put down the grub killing granules but my wife is concerned that the runoff might get into the koi pond. So maybe I will pay the yard weed spray guy to put down a liquid grub killer next spring.

We have lots of moles. I won’t put out grub poison because i haven’t found one that is specific to grubs, it kills earthworms and beneficial insects too. Birds eat the poisoned grubs and worms and they die too. I’d rather have moles.
Some moles moved in under our above ground pool last summer. I got some poison “worms” and buried them 3” deep and a foot apart all the way around the pool. They seem to have taken care of the moles.
