Tire Question

I have one tire that needs to be replaced: Michelin PILOT HX MXM4

This tire is no longer available. The other tires (same model) have roughly 60% tread.

What do you do for a replacement? Stick on a cheaper new tire with a similar tread on the back?

Thx!

Have you tried a used tire store or Ebay?

I think I need more info about the car before offering a suggestion.
Does it have a limited slip rear end?
Is it rear wheel drive?
What would the difference in overall diameter be new vs old tire?
Might be better to just get two new ones and put them on the same axle.
But, like I said, more info is needed.

I'd look for two used ones and if I couldn't find any, then spring for two cheaper ones until I could afford 4 new ones of the kind I really wanted.
I faced the same dilemma with a BMW 325e I bought for commuting that needed two tires before I was in a position to put 4 new ones on.

I was amazed at what is on C-list in their tire/wheel section. You might get lucky and find a set of take offs that will work.
18" wheels?
