Good progress. This is impressive at our age to be able to drop some of the pounds folks are reporting. Keep up with the A1C management. If you have not been tested, make sure your Doc does it at your next physical. As a type 1 diabetic it is my key metric on health. If you are above 6 and need some good reading on management and reducing it, check out this guys website. I've heard him speak and read his stuff. He's smart and practical.

Another week with a .5# loss.
So far I haven't done much of anything to increase my exercise so I am going to have to get serious on that if I'm going to meet my goal in July.

I finally broke the below 170 barrier: 168.7 this morning, down from 208 3 years ago. Goal is still 150 and a 32" or less waist, which is near what I was when I was in the Army. I have been increasing my walking to as much as I do, with my bad back.

I can easily ride mine no handed and sprint to 150 rpm's so there's not much there for me for day to day riding. I've had tons of different trainers and had a computrainer (first real computerized trainer) for 25 years. I recently purchased a Wahoo Kickr (direct drive and bluetooth enabled) and signed up for Zwift. Because I have spent so much time on trainers, it takes a lot to distract me and keep me on the bike. I'm 100% satisfied with the combo. The races on Zwift are my favorite. I do one at the end of almost every workout. Today's race was so hard, I wanted to quit 1000 times. I stuck it out and finished 5th. I already picked out tomorrows race. I love riding outside but today was 45 and raining. Luckily, after 2 hours of steady, hard riding, I can eat a good meal and still be working towards my weight goal.
The smaller plastic drums roll worse than the metal counterparts. Also, tire pressure makes a HUGE difference in rolling resistance on plastic rollers. A road bike tire with 100 psi rolls out pretty nicely even on plastic, but at 60 psi they're a bear to keep moving. Yes there is more heat and more tire wear, but I've found the rollers to be pretty hard on tires regardless.

Progress continues. Exercise is still basically non-existent. Will it ever stop raining?!?
I really can't use that as an excuse since everything I need to get my heart rate up is readily available indoors. I'm just lacking in motivation...

2 Weeks counting calories like a vatican treasurer with a paid app and supposedly being in deficit 90% of the time and at worst, about even 10% of the time.... And yet: Zero loss... I mean nothing that registers outside of the realm of a good poop...

Either the apps are too vague (there are 20 kinds of steak burritos for example with a wildly varying calorie counts), or the exercise calories are wildly exaggerated, but it's not working at all so far ;-( I respond to the carrot more than the stick, if I only saw -3 lbs I'd be on this like white on rice, but zilch...

Apps - 0
Maybe I need to check if body fat ratio changes, doubt it though...

Ditch everything but fruit and vegetables and the weight will come off. Lot's of water. It's not fun but it works and it's still healthy.
And yes, it's very hard to do with just exercise. At one time, I was fine with eating a lot of everything and anything but I was averaging 3 hours a day of hard cycling. Short of that, I have to eat fewer calories to lose weight.

Doc said back in nov 2019. Loose weight or you’ll be a diabetic. Am doing the keto diet. All the meat and bacon one can eat. Lost 27 lbs. from 190 in nov. Spent Xmas in Maui, no loco moco. It was hard. But don’t like needles.

Not on a diet but I've started trying to get fit which should hopefully bring some weight loss

Started rowing 30 mins each evening, into my 2nd week now and feeling better for it already

Did a personal best tonight 7035 meters at a stroke rate between 18-20 with a 2min 8.2sec avr/500m. Calories burnt was 436

No idea if this is above or below average for my 52 yr age but as I was dead nearly 3 yrs ago I'll take any distance as a win!

You can cheat.

Unsalted almonds are like potato chips and cottage cheese is like ice cream. Check the carbs. Lettuce is cheating but ok too.

You can't have a bean or a carrot to save your life.

You gotta work that dirty keto.

Weight loss is fine but don't get extreme about it. I went from 202 to 170 for training purposes (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) but the benefits simply weren't worth it for me. Yes I had abbs and yes my cardio was slightly better, but I lost a noticeable amount of strength and overall just didn't feel as durable. Bulked back up to 190ish which seems to be the sweet spot for me. I feel 100% better overall even without abbs.

I have to say that my creating this post has really helped me to stay on track.
Even if it's small losses, knowing that I am going to post results makes me think twice before I snack on something I shouldn't.

So, slowly progress is being made. I'm down 18.9 YTD.

4 weeks in now and 4lbs down

Still rowing 30 mins 5 evenings a week but now up to 7200m with a stroke rate of 18-20 averaging just over 2.05 mins/500m

From next week I'm planning to extend the time to 35 mins, will see how that goes

Set myself the impossible challenge of rowing across the Atlantic all in the comfort of my house

94.7 miles down, only 2825.7 miles to go
