I think it is clever, but it offends your wife. The fact that you are here for backup means you already lost. I suppose in some context somewhere wearing a goofy name tag necklace could get you a beat down, but probably not anywhere your kid will ever go.

The remainder of the second clip is worth watching the entire series over. Fall off the chair hilarious.

OK, so that's a Cracker.

What (who) is a Planter, and who is a Conch?

Por_sha911 01-21-2020 02:09 PM

I'm offended that some of you are not offended. You need to go to sensitivity training to become PC (meaning everything offends you).

Gretch 01-21-2020 03:57 PM

more plain stupid if not ignorant and self denegrating.........

your kid wants to identify himself and be known as a "w****r"??????

Why? He is a child......... how about providing some adult supervision, "dad"?

Watch Monty Python and get fixed

People who are easily offended offend me.

Wow!

Back around the white flight days in Detroit the black kids would call the white kids Zoda Crackas and the white kids would call the black kids Gram Crackas.

For a stupid name on a chain my child will probably never wear except on Halloween or for a random lark, lots of reaction.

It is absolutely stupid. This is a teen who has a joke with his buddy. Some people are way way too excited about this.

And Gretch? F off.

I'm not so much offended, I just think we don't need derogatory slang to become part of modern dialogue.

Fag, Retard, Gimp, Beaner, etc have negative connotations. My Son is bi racial. I don't like it when he and his friends call each other "The N Word". I've explained to him that it just degrades their conversation. We've reached a point where use of the word justifies a violent reaction in the eyes of society. That is no good

A very good reason to quote myself. What Gretch said was not racial, but derogatory and not needed as a part of everyday conversation. And you were offended. Case closed.

Gretch 01-22-2020 08:03 AM

wake up you spineless ass clowns..........

If you ever wonder why Congress struggles to get things done just look at this thread . The OP in my opinion has a good sense of humor and so does his son . Three pages later and some forum members lose control and call out parenting skills. WOW have we completely lost the ability to have fun ? Is everyone so fragile now to be so easily offended ? Much bigger issues to worry about than a cheap necklace that might be worn 5 times a year . Have a great day 😁

Por_sha911 01-22-2020 02:06 PM

OMG, you used the word "Congress".
I'm offended and screaming PARF! PARF!

Doesn't anyone realize that having a idiot disagree with you is actually a compliment?

I don't think it's due to fragility. The topic has become taboo. Just look at what the race-baiters can and have done to people who were 'just having fun' as you say. I don't believe there was racist intent here but somebody else thinks there was. Some of those people who would be 'offended' have made very, very lucrative careers out of just these things. Rosanne fairly recently torpedoed her career. Jimmie the Greek way back when did the same thing. OJ's acquittal was due in not insignificant part because Flea Bailey took Mark Fuhrman's use of the n-word totally out of context and managed to cast the LA police force as racists because of it. Flea hammered Fuhrman who denied ever using the word. Fuhrman was writing a book containing the word and recorded some of the dialogue so his entire testimony was deemed perjury. Presently, with the internets, nothing ever goes away.

It's not fragility. It's adaptive vigilance.

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, George Wallace to name a few from the past.

rfuerst911sc 01-22-2020 02:51 PM

Crowbob I hear what you are saying but some of the examples you cited are because people have become fragile . Rosanne as an example , she made some comments that she believes in some people agree with her and some don't . So if you fall into the I don't category then tune out her show . Jimmy the Greek I am old enough to remember him and his comments . Again he made statements that he believed to be correct and true , if folks didn't agree then just tune out his show .

Most people ( not all ) feel in general that society has become too PC , the example in this forum topic is about a $10.00 necklace that might be worn 5 times a year . Many of the comments on here are waaaaay over blown in my opinion .............. and it's just my opinion . And just because some have carved a career out of it doesn't make it right .............. just look at the overall feelings most have about lawyers . I will move on now as I have nothing more to add .
