The thing you learned today that you really didn't need to know.

I'll start.

The thing I learned today that I really didn't need to know is, when walking through the house with your earbuds trailing on the floor stepping on them while barefoot has the same exact effect as stepping on a Lego piece.

That....makes my feet hurt.

I learned my 11 year old son knows the term douche bag.

His mom is kind of upset and her seeing me smile just a little bit when presented with this tidbit of information didn't really go over all that well....

TIL my boss's boss enjoys plunging toilets. He had too big a grin on his face.

The most expensive watch ever made is the Graff Diamonds Hallucination. $55 milion.

There are as many DBs out there short selling stocks, as there are wanting the stock to shoot the moon....a good penny stock with great news, remains level all day with 100M volume (IBIO).

uh got that one beat by a loooooong shot.

don't EVER use your bare foot to lock the bar on a targa top roof.

I pulled my targa top out of the back of the car. too lazy to reach down and push the bar into the locked position so I pushed it with my bare foot.
needless to say the skin on my big toe got caught in the hinge and basically cut out a chunk of meat.
yea, not too smart on my part.

T77911S 02-05-2020 03:29 AM

don't ever snoop on your ex girlfriends (now friend) phone. you cant unsee what you see.

Some Lab cross puppies, when visiting other homes go crazy trying to "dig" to the bottom of the water bowl. This causes a tidal wave of water to cascade across the kitchen floor. (She doesn't do that at home, I am told )

I learned that my newest customer has money for cigarettes, but was eating a small bag of Fritos and drinking a Coke for her dinner when I was there last night. She had just returned from applying for jobs at Goodwill and Dollar General. I wonder if her first payment will go through.

When did you start selling crack?

Rick Lee 02-05-2020 06:12 AM

Oh, I saw some of that going down the day before too. But I wasn't involved. I work in the worst ghettos you've ever seen in the US.

Telling a lady that is really mad to "calm down" does not get her calm down at all.

Man, I do not miss those days . I've cleaned up lots of stamp baggies at the rentals, and found more than one crack pipe over the years . And a sawed off shotgun, a burned spoon, gang related stuff etc ...
I think it finally turned for me, when I was cleaning out some drawers, and found medicine for the treatment of HIV.
We have all mostly normal tenants now.
Be careful my friend.

sammyg2 02-05-2020 12:18 PM

if you are leaving a store with your hands full and are holding the receipt in your mouth, the minimum wage guy who is supposed to check your receipt will just wave you by and tell you to have a nice day.

My late lab Daisy did the same darn thing!! Funny little habit that I miss.
Sometimes she would just stand in the bowl and look at me with a real puppy kinda crazy look, she had fun.

The fold line is very different from the un-punctured tear line on invoices.
(even if 1/8" apart)

Tearing on the fold results with the address not appearing in the envelope face.

I learned that if I won the lottery and the prize was $55 million, I would NOT buy that watch.

Well thats a loaded question id say 99% of the things we know we dont really need to know.
In the last hour I learned the Eurythmics made an album in 1999 called Peace and its not worth listening to

I have no idea WTF that means but it sounds like something we need to know, rarely, very rarely, like maybe wandering into a medical conference happy hour, knowing that is sure to get you laid.

You ought to see this apt. complex on the SE corner of 35th and Dunlap. I keep thinking I've seen the worst, but then I come across a worse one. And then there are several off the I-17 service roads you would never see if you didn't have business or live there. I have dodged chickens, pit bulls, crazies, you name it. I saw one today that not only had a fence around the house, but also plastic netting around the front porch and car port, so no one could reach a door. I have knocked on doors where my knuckles went through the rotted wood. WTF?

Bill Douglas 02-05-2020 07:51 PM
