4 Oscars..incredible.
I really thought Ford v Ferrari would be the big winner...or Once upon a time in Hollywood.

J Phoenix seems to have played a part which he lives at least some of the time.

He did lend the whole production a certain level of reality check.

Another self congratulating, grand display of progressivism from the Hollywood elite, complete with political rant speeches...no thanks.

I can't imagine anyone would disagree with these sentiments but having worked for an organization who LOVES to advertise their "top 10"-ness, it seems the new normal to get an award from an organization (no matter how obscure) who's only purpose is to sell legitimacy to people willing to pay.

Are you so triggered by an opinion you disagree with that you have to go on the attack immediately? He is not alone in his disdain. Maybe you could host the show for them, they seem to have trouble finding anyone to do it.

I wonder how few people watched it?

The decision to go with no host..is def going to hurt the ratings.
The days of Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Chris Rock etc. hosting are prob over.
It's too bad, because viewers like comedy. :(

Huh..I watched the whole show last night and never heard anything like that.
comments like that are mostly jealousy

Didn't watch, but I can't imagine there wasn't at least 1 or 2 holier-than-thou and tired political comments/rants made by said elites whilst on stage. You know, the sort of thing Gervais called out at the Golden Globes...

None that I saw. One of the worst Oscar Awards that I remember...but only because of the 'no host' format.

It wasn't a quote from the Oscars. The question was asked on the street asking people if they had tuned in.
