I honestly could not care less what Hollywood elites say and do.

More LOLz. You are on a roll!

I'd like to see Parasite.

It's a movie that takes a couple days after viewing to sink in. (for me anyway)
I left the theater wondering. There are a lot of things going on in it.

RWebb 02-11-2020 01:32 PM

It'll get here eventually.

Maybe they'll show it down at the Grange Hall...

Shaun @ Tru6 02-11-2020 01:39 PM

I'm sorry for mucking up your thread Steve.

Looking forward to seeing the movie.

You can stream it through AMCs website for $5.99. Not the same as a theater but it's an option.

You actually helped straighten it out...thanks!:)
I posted a different trailer on the Parasite thread...it won't give anything away about the movie storyline.

+1

I like movies.

Don't give one fk about political commentary. I skip through it.

Happy for Parasite.

Thanks, Shaun. I'm immersed in my Hitchcock film fest right now.

stevej37 02-11-2020 04:13 PM

Also..Amazon Prime has it in HD for $3.99

Shaun @ Tru6 02-15-2020 07:43 PM

Just saw Parasite. Theater was packed. The false path it led you down before turning dark was well done. But I’m on the fence on whether it should have won best picture. I would place both once upon a time and Jojo Rabbit higher. And certainly Joker but that was too dark to win. Very glad I saw it after 3-4 tries.

Thanks! It would be the best option for me. My ears are sensitive to loud noise. I can’t hear someone across a table At a restaurant talking to me, but loud sounds are painful. Theaters are so loud I take foam earplugs with me on the rare occasions that I go to one. Much happier watching at home.

I haven't seen JJR yet...but I will.
Comparing UOAT and Joker to Parasite...no question to me...Parasite has all the qualities of a great movie..and delivers. But Joker is close behind.:)

I'm a big fan of Joaquin...esp after the movie 'U-Turn' (one of my all-time fav movies)

Shaun @ Tru6 02-16-2020 04:06 PM

I agree, Parasite is a great movie, and I'm seeing it again so maybe I will think even more of it than I already do after that.

I think Joker is a true masterpiece. It should have won but I understand why it didn't.

stevej37 02-16-2020 05:12 PM

^^^ Have you seen the movie 'U Turn'?
Joaquin Phoenix as 'TNT' in a movie by Oliver Stone.
That's him...next to Sean Penn in the diner. An excellent movie.
Billy Bob..J-Lo..Jon Voight..Claire Danes..Nick Nolte..Sean Penn and others.

edit: a very hot-young J-Lo!

I haven't seen it but will netflix it, thanks.

Joker 2 is in the works.

It has now been confirmed that Joker 2 is in progress.

Watched once upon again last night. DeCaprio is very good actor. Such a good movie and fun to watch. Adrenaline-inducing ending can't be beat.

Speaking of Phoenix, this stuff is stereotypically funny ...

^^^ I see from that article that his fiance is Rooney Mara.
She was the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"...another excellent movie.
He made a good choice!

That was the remake... the original with Noomi Rapace is better.

Nothing against Daniel Craig and Rooney
